New Year, Same Sarah
It would be really easy for me to open up my first “Look Book” style blog post of the year with talking about how I am going to change this year or to talk about my New Years resolutions. However, that is not the case with today’s post because technically I don’t have any resolutions for the new year. If anything, it is more like a life resolution!
You see, if 2018 taught me anything it was that being able to adapt to change and finding your footing within all strange and different situations is so important! That is why I have resolved to be open to all opportunities not just in 2019, but for a lifetime. Often, the biggest tests we face as individuals are the ones that come about through stressful situations, but it is the way we handle them and persevere that matters most.
The ability to take the good and learn lessons from every situation is so important in life. That is one of the lessons I have been fortunate enough to learn early on. One of my ideological building blocks is that we are all puzzles and each person you meet (even if it is for a brief moment) acts as a piece that helps put together this puzzle. Pretty soon (throughout a lifetime that is) we begin to see an individual. I am so lucky to have the people that are in my life, and I am always excited to meet new individuals because I know that only makes me a better and more complex puzzle and person.
That is why I chose this Peter Pan collared Tommy Hilfiger sweater to start my New Years fashion off on the right foot. With a classic pair of skinny jeans and a dependable pair of ridding boots, this is the kind of elegant ensemble that will never truly go out of style! A timeless outfit will take you a long way when it comes to new opportunities.
It may be 2019 now, but I am still the same old Sarah. This year for me is all about having an open mind, heart, and arms! I’m ready for ya 2019!
Much Love,
Sarah
