  • Trendy Men’s Street Style Looks for Fall 2019

It’s either already back to school for many people or it is about to be. If you are like me, I like to take the new school season as an opportunity to reinvent my personal style. Well today I have a few tips and items for you to consider when thinking about the things you will incorporate into your wardrobe for fall. One go-to item that everyone should have in their closet is a good sweater, and this is especially true for men in the fall. You no longer need to wear a jacket for those in-between weather days and they look super classy with denim of all washes. However,…

  • Fall 2019 Fashion Trend: Newsboy Caps

Typically I share a lot of fashion trends for the Fashion Forecast and Look Book areas of Faintly Familiar, but the Men’s Fashion section often times gets neglected. However, today I have some exciting information for men’s fall fashion trends that will be of particular interest to my readers! There is one must have accessory that will be making a big splash for fall 2019 into winter 2019/2020. The classic newsboy cap is making a comeback in fashion and will be one hat you will see everyone wearing! The wonderful thing about the newsboy cap is that there is so much variety in style of cap that even if you…

  • Dior Spring 2020 for Men

The final collection from the spring 2020 men’s runways that I will be reviewing is the Dior runway. Although I am disappointed that Dior did not stray from the typical pastels of the springtime, I do like that there were some textures and designs added to these looks. For instance, the shoes for this collection had a very gummy like texture and look to them that really amplified the overall neutral color tone of the runway. I also enjoyed that once in a while a bright color made a special appearance on the Dior runway. This bright shade especially stood out against the white and pastels that dominated. Another element…

  • Celine Spring 2020 for Men

I must admit, I was rather disappointed by the runways we saw for this spring 2020 men’s fashion week. After combing through all of the designer shows and seeing how they all look basically the same, there were only two specific runways that stood out to me enough to actually review. Celine is one of those two fashion shows that I have decided to write a Runway Review about! What stood out to me in this spring collection was the perfect mix of business and casual wear. If you look at the entire spring 2020 line up of men’s fashion, you will notice that pretty much every designer featured a…

  • Met Gala & Camp Style: What It Is & How You Can Wear It

If you don’t know yet, the annual Met Gala will be held this three days. This is the biggest night for fashion! There are always a ton of outrageous looks that celebrities pull together, and some really fantastic designers get their evening to shine and experiment with different ideas. Typically, a fashion enthusiast like myself would put together a neat little list of my favorite looks and the ones I didn’t like. But I am much more interested in the theme of Met Gala than anything that will be worn. So, today I am going to talk about what the Met Gala 2019 theme is and share a few of…

  • Neil Barrett Fall 2019 for Men

Although Neil Barrett isn’t the household name that Calvin Klein or Ralph Lauren is, I believe someday he will be. The collection he showed for men’s fall fashion 2019 was stunning. Earlier I discussed how men’s fashion this year will be a lot about including basic colors to really make one aspect of the outfit stand out. This collection supports this whole belief. This collection really makes the print/picture of what I can only assume is Tokyo stand out. I love how this whole runway combines elements of something classic with futuristic details. The colorful vibes from the collection is also another element from these deigns that are pretty rare…

  • Men’s Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2019

Once again we see men’s fashion focus their attention to the timeless suit. However, this kind of suit is much more relaxed in the fitting and they are often teamed up with sneakers. We also see that, yet again, accessories are king. Lots of layers are on the runway for men’s fall 2019, and we see the bowtie making a comeback after what seemed like a longtime of the regular time dominating fashion. However, Dolce & Gabbana’s runway has a lot more prints! When I say prints I mean loud, miss matched ones! The kind that makes you wonder if this person knows what they are doing or not. Somehow…

  • Brioni Fall 2019

It would seem a new kind of men’s fashion is going to make a big run in 2019. This new style includes the fall color pallet I suggested for men back last fall! It also appears that a lot of the styles we will be seeing men wear in 2019 is inspired by Jeff Goldblum’s somewhat eccentric fashion. It’s evident in the thick rimmed glasses and slightly oversized suits that are making an appearance within the Brioni fall 2019 collection. Altogether, this is definitely a Faintly Familiar and Sarah Sigmon approved style! I love when designers take simple styles or colors and put them together with a fun texture. The…

  • Fall Color Pallets for Men

The fall colors are here! With fall colors brings oranges, yellows, deep purples, and black for Halloween. In the midst of all of this excitement, what should guys wear to shift into fall gear while also staying true to their own style? Go for Earth tones! These sandy browns and grey hues are the perfect balancing out for all of the bright flurry of colors that come along with the autumn season. You can mix and match these Earth tones in any way you would like, and they are timeless! This is the kind of style you can wear year round, but it especially works for fall. This color pallet…

  • Burberry Spring/Summer 2019 for Men

In some ways, I almost feel like the designs that were wore by the men on Burberry’s 2019 runway were better than even the ladies. Look through the photos below and then I will explain why I am saying the men’s designs are better. Photos by Vogue Don’t get me wrong, I loved the fascination with the trench coat for the ladies’ designs, but I just felt like the men had more variety. One of the aspects I value most about fashion is variety. If I can mix and match this in new and fun ways, I am one happy girl! I just feel like the women’s collection was too focused…
