How Polka Dots & Yellow are the Micro-Trends of Spring 2019
Something that I have been noticing a lot of recently is the random emergence of polka dots. They can be found in so many different places and they have become something of a kind of micro-trend. A lot of fashionable ladies have embraced the polka dots for spring 2019 trend, and I have now too!
Polka dots have always been one of my favorite prints and let’s be honest, they never truly go out of style. But there are times when we see more of this pattern than other moments in fashion. Right now it is really ganging steam and it could be a trend that very well lasts into the summer, but we shall see on that one.
Another point I would like to acknowledge is that yellow seems to be a surprise color of popularity for all of 2019, not just spring. Yellow is accenting all of the new pieces on store shelves for spring and summer fashion, from what I can tell. Even yellow bags have popped up in department stores as another way to wear this color.
The sweater I am wearing today is particularly perfect for both of these trends while also being a great mix of warm and cool. The polka dots make their presence known without standing out too much and left the yellow have its moment in the spotlight.
There are so many cute ways to accessorize and style this sweater, but I like to wear it as a stand alone piece. Bright yellows are so eye catching anyway, what should I cover that up?
So, if you have any polkas dots hidden away in your closet, now is the time to break them out! The same thing applies to anything yellow! It is time to brighten up the wardrobe in preparation for the beautiful, warming weather!
