Valentino Fall 2019 Ready-to-Wear Collection

These photos are not mine. They can be found here.

This collection by Valentino has reminded me of street art and graffiti from the first moment I saw it! I absolutely love the bold, artistic take with this runway. This is elevated street style, in my opinion!

The red and pink colors that Valentino used in this collection are very reminiscent of what we see during Valentine’s Day celebrations which is very fitting for their name. While the deep green and white shades are more fit for the fall season it was designed to be worn in. This color palette works surprisingly well together, and makes for a really cool and somewhat edgy runway.

Accessories acted as the glue that held all of these designs together to create what we saw on the runway. We saw more of the 90’s style bucket hats like the ones that appeared in the Christian Dior fall 2019 collection. In addition, this runway saw small, cat eye sunglasses in the mix too. My favorite accessory are the long, dangling earrings that a number of models wore.

There is a certain level of sophistication and class in this collection. However, I feel that there is also an edge of street style to these looks. The colors used on this runway steal all of the attention away from the loose tailoring, but I really like the breezy feel. Overall, only Valentino would be able to pull something like this kind of collection off. Bravo to them!

Much Love,

Sarah
