Giambattista Valli Fall 2019

These photos are not mine. They can be found here.

The Giambattista Valli fall 2019 collection felt more like a collection for springtime. Pastels have traditionally been something we see in the spring not fall, however, I kind of liked seeing it appear in a different season. One of my favorite colors is pink so that was an extra bonus from this runway.

Another element I loved from this collection was the involvement of of florals! There is something so dreamy about the gowns that have these floral details on them, and I think they are such a lovely mix into an otherwise leaf dominated autumn season.

Something that really surprised me about the Giambattista Valli runway was the fun, fuzzy details seen on some of the heels. They added an extra layer of casualness to the overall sophisticated and elegant collection. In addition, the ruffles that can be found on different ensembles throughout this runway have been increasingly popular for a while now. I feel like the ruffles accents add just the right amount of drama to any outfit!

Overall, I found this collection to be really fun! There was something really exciting about having so many florals and pastels in a fall runway, it felt like the designer was getting away with something (like eating breakfast food during another time of the day). Honestly, I think this collection will serve for some serious out of the box fall outfit inspiration. The nontraditional colors will definitely be interesting to play around with later this year!

Much Love,

Sarah
