Spring is fast approaching and this is typically the time of year when people choose to change up their look. As for me, I have a couple of ideas in mind that will help my style evolved for the 20’s. More about that next week. There are a couple of ways to switch things up without having to make major commitments like investing in an expensive clothing item that has a very “of the moment” twist. The best way to do that is with accessories! My favorite accessory for spring 2020 is the classic headband! Some of you may remember wearing these little head ornaments as a young child or…

  • Making Classic Sigmon Christmas Peanut Buttercups

For many years, homemade peanut buttercups have been a coveted and much anticipated item for the holiday season. I have been helping my Mom makes these Christmas goodies since I was about six years old. Back in those days I would stand on a chair just to see over the counter top. After all these years, the tradition continues and it stays connected to the holiday season. Although I do not need a chair to stand on anymore, some things about making these peanut butter cups with my mom never changes. Like how I am the proud owner of the title Peanut Butter Manager, and how my Mom is the…

Today, I want to share a not-so-spooky sweater that is perfect for the impending holiday season! Since Halloween is over, many people here in the United States are gearing up for another big holiday — Thanksgiving! This two toned sweater is absolutely perfect for both that holiday and this whole season of the year! Two toned colorful looks are always a lot of fun! The interesting part about this sweater in particular is that the colors used are just slight variations of the same shade. Besides that, it adds a certain level of sophistication to the two toned looked that we often see take a more bubblegum, candy type of…

This July 4th was extra special for my Grandma and Grandpa McFarland this year! First, they were the Grand Marshals of the local 4th of July parade. Second, our family threw them a fun 65th wedding anniversary party! This is, of course, a very unique milestone to hit so we took this as an opportunity to celebrate!
