Kate Spade Fall 2019

These photos are not mine. They can be found here.

Kate Spade does it again! It is easy to see the fall 2019 runway collection that was shown at New York Fashion Week took huge inspiration from the spring/summer collection that was shown last year. The fashion stands out and somehow also pays tribute to style of eras gone by.

The 1960’s vibes are strong with the head scarf and the lightly flared pant designs. I love the look or straight down and flared pants. This retro look is something I have been championing since the beginning of Faintly Familiar and one I will probably always wear even when the runways decide to ditch the look.

A lot of fall 2019 runways saw a fair amount of color collections, but my favorite from this season was this Kate Spade runway. The mix of Earthy brown, tan, and unobtrusive animal print made this collection that much more sophisticated. Combine that with the bright pops of baby pink, rich purple, and all of the other colors that have become synonymous with the Kate Spade brand.

The textures and mix of silk materials along with the occasional velvet give these looks a whole new dimension. It turns all of these designs into something that a professional women who is way ahead of here time from the 1960’s/70’s would wear.

I could see these runway looks heading straight for the street style gurus. Every look was placed and put together beautifully! I have to give the Kate Spade brand a standing ovation for this specific collection.

Much Love,

Sarah
