Chanel Spring/Summer 2019
Chanel took their classic style to the seaside this season! It served up some fresh, vacation ready inspiration for next summer as well as setting some cool trends in the makeup department. Chanel also transformed their classic tweed suits just for the day on the beach!
I simply love this look above! Basically what Chanel is trying to say is that a Chanel girl can make even a burlap bag look good if the name Chanel is on it.

If you have never worn Chanel to the beach before, don’t worry you are not alone. Chanel is being taken places it has never been before! No other runway this season was set at seaside, but Karl Lagerfeld wasn’t about to let that stop him from making you dream of a vacation. He event went so far as to include fake waves!
Chanel gave us a little reminder of what modern Parisian chic should look like. With a sort of loose fitting confidence, most of these designs act as a take off of the classic Chanel skirt suit. But this is not a stuffy collection for the office. Instead, it is a relaxed and fabulous “No shoes, no problems.” kind of runway.
There were no groundbreaking silhouettes shown in this collection, but there were some key beauty trends set here. The ultra bold lip color seen on many of the models will be popular next spring and summer. In addition, the slightly messy/sleek hairstyles the models are sporting will add yet another fashionable beauty trend in 2019.
Chanel is always one of my favorite shows every year, and this runway was no exception. I do wish the fashion would have been just a bit more exciting, but beggars can’t be choosers and we did see a lot of fun beauty trends that will crop up next year. Now, if you need me I will be on the beach wearing Chanel!
