The Princess Diana Black Sheep Sweater

A while back I saw this black sheep sweater from Lands End and I instantly fell in love with it! Not only is the grey color super versatile, but it also has such a fun retro design. I know this may not make sense so let me give you a little background.

Being the royal watcher that I am, previously I have seen photos of the late Princess Diana wearing a very similar black sheep sweater (like in the photo of her above). Of course, I always admired the fun sheep design of the sweater she wore! Well, Princess Diana wore that sweater back in the 80’s so naturally I assumed that black sheep sweaters were no longer sold. But one day when I was shopping online at Lands End I happened upon this top and I just knew that I had to purchase it! Anyway, the sheep on Princess Diana’s sweater always stood out to me so when I found this top at Lands End that add to cart button was calling my name. Because my particular sweater has quarter length sleeves, this makes it perfect for the moderate temperatures of spring and fall. For all of those colder days, though, the black sheep sweater looks perfect with a motto jacket!

I love being able to take classic and retro designs and breath new life into them! This black sheep sweater is a great example of how clothing can be Faintly Familiar!
