The Exposed Buttons Trend

For a while now I have been seeing a ton of buttons! By that I mean when you go shopping there are a lot of cute pairs of shorts and jeans that are taking part in the exposed buttons trend. This trend has gained some traction during the summer, but I am seeing it as more of a fall and winter trend.

The exposed buttons trend is one to keep an eye out for during the upcoming fall season, but if you are like me and you cannot wait that long there are a bunch of really cute shorts that have these buttons. Old Navy has a great selection to choose from and so does Free People! I particularly like the exposed buttons style for a summer baseball game outfit!

I decided to wear my pinstripe exposed button shorts with a simple grey t-shirt in order to make the shorts the central focus of the entire outfit. Old Navy is where I found these shorts. Besides the exposed buttons I really liked that it was pinstriped, too! Everyone needs to have a good pair of pinstripe shorts in their summer wardrobe.

One last fun bit to the exposed buttons trend is the slight nod to retro fashion without making it cheesy. I really like this aspect of the trend because it falls right into line with my personal style of classic but with a modern twist. For the fall I am going to be on the hunt for a fun pair of boot cut jeans with these exposed buttons.
