The Mittens Trend 2020
If you haven’t noticed, it is cold and snowy in most places (depending on where you live). This can only mean one thing, it is wintertime! Since I live in the Midwest, I like to think I have a special skill in noticing cute and super functional winter apparel. Therefore, I submit to you the trendiest winter accessory: mittens.
This is a trendy item I have picked up on over the winter of 2019-2020, however, I fully expect to see it continue for the next several years. Why? Because mittens are so simple and timeless that the trend it can last up to ten years with a few variations along the way while still somehow remaining fresh. This isn’t a one and done trend where you invest in items only to have them go out of style.
I also love how easy it is to use mittens to fit in with your own personal style. If you like hot pink, there are mittens for that. If you want gloves with little bows on them, there are mittens for that. If you want to still be able to use your touchscreen devices while keeping the rest of your hand in a glove, there are mittens for that too!
The nice part about this winter fashion trend is that it is so affordable! Finding the right pair of mittens isn’t a huge investment so if you happen to find they are not warm enough or if you lose a mitten then you will easily be able to replace them. This isn’t a high stakes fashion trend, and that is what is so refreshing about it.
So brace for the cold winter months ahead, if not for this year then the many years to come. Mittens are here to stay!
