What I'm Wearing

Women’s Winter Hats

Winter is one of the best times of the year to dress for because of all the cute accessories you get to layer onto every outfit! If there is anything I have learned living here in the cold Midwest, it is that hats for the winter are not only a great resource for warmth but also the perfect complement to any ensemble. That is why today I am discussing some of my favorite hats to wear on all of those freezing days!

The Bucket/Flapper Hat!

I love this style of hat for the winter months because it is so classic! There are so many cute little details that can be and are often included in the bucket/flapper hat. Honestly, there is no one name for this style of hat so whatever you call it is completely fine. For me, however, I like to call it a flapper hat because it reminds me of the 1920’s!

Although I couldn’t find my exact hat online, I purchased the elegant black flapper hat at target and there are a ton of cute duplicates you can find but the best version is found here. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the exact link for my brown flapper hat pictured above either, but I did find similar ones on Amazon! The links to the similar hats are here and here.

The flapper hat is so cute you don’t even have to pair it with anything else that reckons back to another time era, it is the perfect retro touch all by itself! It is the perfect accessory all on its own and that is one of the many reasons why it is a go-to item for me to wear in the wintertime!

The Beanie!

There is no warmer hat than a good beanie in the winter weather! I always keep one with me on cold days, especially with the cutting wind that comes along with winter! The one I’m wearing above is a beautiful sapphire shade from Barbour. I purchased it while I was in Windsor, England!

You don’t have to have a name brand beanie to stay warm, though! Anything will do, but I have been wearing this one more and more each day that I have been back from London because this beanie is so perfect for the cold weather!

If your like me and you want to find yourself a Barbour beanie too, I found two links that are perfect places to shop for all kinds of Barbour designs! The first link is for Bloomingdales, however, they only have one shade sold in this style of beanie. The other option is from Nordstrom, and they too only have one color sold in this style of beanie but I defiantly don’t think you can go wrong with any color if you have a good beanie!

Between these two styles of hats, you really can’t go wrong. Stay warm and never put a bad fashion foot forward again with these perfect wintertime accessories!!!

Much Love,

Sarah
