Secret Sequins
I understand that black is not the most cheerful spring color, but I think this quarter length top is absolutely perfect for this time of year! With all of the grass becoming a little greener and the flowers blooming, black really contrasts against these light backgrounds. Of course, black is never really a cool that goes out of style, but it is defiantly not typical for the spring season.
One exciting element of this top is the two strands of black sequins that are visible on both sleeves! Really this black top is so much more fashion forward because of those two strands that I like to call secret sequins simply because it blends in so well. The sequins just takes this mid-length sleeve top to another level, and it no longer is just a classic black top.
Something about the secret sequins also reminds me of Audrey Hepburn. It feels like she would wear this in one of her films, yet the sequins also work to modernize this overall outfit.
So, if you are looking to diversify your spring wardrobe and standout against all of the beautiful spring backdrops, definitely go for a classic all black ensemble! Because you know what they say, black never goes out of style.
