The Making of the Flatform Trend

There are only a few times in fashion history we have seen a piece of clothing or an accessory encompass both fashionability and comfort. For instance, the classic white t-shirt, a anklets, and ballet flats are all just a few examples of timeless clothing from the past. Today, I introduce to you the a modern version of stylish and comfort — the flatform.

I have been eyeing these shoes for a while now and the summer of 2019 is finally when it will get to shine! Now, I know that flatforms sounds like a funny little name, but that is because this trendy shoe is a mix of flats and platforms. That can be a little confusing and I must admit I was a little confused myself the first time I learned about the shoes. But in the end, flatforms are one of the most versatile summer shoes I have ever seen.

Say you are going to a family reunion or a BBQ with friends this summer and you want to wear that cute summer dress you had tucked away in your closet waiting for just the right occasion. I would recommend paring that summer dress with the flatforms! It will be comfy on your feet while also giving you something a little different to mix with a dress. Also, you will add a little height and that is never a bad thing!

Why are these shoes so comfortable you ask? Well, simply because they are designed to make your feet think you are wearing flats, but on a number of layers like a cute pair of platforms. I love that fact that flatforms has no heel! It makes walking in these shoes sooooooo much easier than in platforms!

Anyway, if you haven’t invested in a pair of flatforms yet I would highly suggest you do! There are so many cute pairs out there with animal print and closed toe looks that can even be worn in the fall. Another little way that differentiates one flatform from another is little straps that tie around the ankle and that can be another cute way to style these trendy shoes!
