Coach 1941 Spring 2020

There are always a few solid runways that I always look forward to knowing they will not disappoint. Coach is one of those runways. It seems like every seasons they consistently are able to both surprise and reassure me in the essence of their brand.

For the spring 2020 Coach collection there was a ton of leather on display! That is such a stark contrast to what we normally see and what all of the other collections are showing for this season. Typically, spring is the time of the year for butterflies, flowing dresses, and a boat load of pastels. All of these elements are, of course, nice for spring, but they do get old. Coach did something different with these designs by including so much leather, and they did it in an interesting way.

Instead of having a classic black or brown leather featured on the runway, Coach opted for a more colorful variation. There was a bright red that really stood out to me in this collection, and a deeper burgundy shade that made for a very versatile piece. No doubt these leather designs will be worn by some of the most fashionable ladies everywhere when it comes time for spring 2020 or even beforehand. These are items you can mix and match, and really make it your own.

Another reason Coach is such a reliable brand when it comes to the runways is because of the unique perspective they always seem to take on basic elements on design. Recently, this brand has given us some real denim inspiration with some of their newest collections. For spring 2020, Coach gave us a less basic way of wearing pastels.

The baby pink dress, the light blue scarf, and the geometric patterned blouse featured above are all good example of this new take on spring pastels. None of these looks include the usual springtime images, but they still have all of the elements. The soft look, the loose fit, and the slightly floral look to some of these prints are all found deep down within the inspiration of this collection, but the are not nearly as obvious as what normally comes up.

Lastly, I do want to say that I think the styling of this Coach spring 2020 collection was impeccable. The slight pop of color added by the bags and belts gives all of these designs just that little extra something. I also really like the bright pipping of the dress shown in the final photo above.

In my book, this is a win! Coach has conquered the runways yet again!
