Generations of Bergmans

In a book about Grace Kelly that I once read years ago, it said she wrote in her high school yearbook that her favorite actress was Ingrid Bergman. If you really think about this though, it makes sense. Yes, Bergman was a popular actress during the very impressionable years of Grace Kelly’s life, but Kelly also had the natural beauty that Ingrid possessed.

Similar face shapes, hairstyles, eyebrow shape, and smiles. Both of these women were stunning, but at the heart of this story many generations later women are still trying to capture the beauty of these women. Today, many women in Hollywood wear vintage styled clothes and do their hair just the right way to resemble Grace Kelly. What they do not know is that who they are really trying to emulate is Ingrid Bergman.

As a young girl, if Grace Kelly admired Ingrid Bergman, she probably tried to style herself in a similar fashion. This has led to generations of women styling themselves as Grace Kelly, which ultimately means they are all striving to resemble the beautiful Ingrid Bergman.

Ingrid Bergman was know for her staunch stance against letting Hollywood makeup artists play around too much with her natural beauty, she barely wore makeup in her films. Similarly, Grace Kelly was an advocate for the natural look in makeup besides her iconic pop of red on the lips.

Even after the many years and exciting lives each lady lived, they were stunning. In the picture above, the two women could be sisters they look so similar!

In the end, everything that was once popular comes back into fashion, but these women just go to show that there are some things, like simplicity and kindness, never go out of style.

Much Love,

Sarah
