A Few of My Favorite Things: Fall 2018

Now that it is officially fall, it’s time to introduce you to a few of my favorite things for this season. These are actual products that I use or have been using. The reason I started this series was because, if you are anything like me, you always want to know what the highest quality products and the advice of what is best. So here we go!

The Herschel backpack brand is the brand I have used since Freshman year of college, and for Sophomore year I am not wavering! I love Herschel because they are sturdy and hold up to my, admittedly, reckless behavior. This backpack has never failed me! The zipper never gets stuck or breaks, there is plenty of space for my notebooks and laptop, and I have never once seen the material fray. It was the perfect choice of backpack brand going into college and I am so glad to have it still with me today!

Here is a little advice for those out there who are experiencing their Freshman year of college, I didn’t know this when I was in your position, but having the right umbrella makes a world of difference! Because you are walking around so much in the open air going from class to class you will inevitably run into some bad weather. I have tried my fair share of umbrellas, but none have protected me the way this one does! Although you can’t store it in your backpack, you can see where you are walking when using it and be sure not to run into others. That was a major perk for me!

Another lesson I learned in college about the rainy weather of the fall is you will need to find a trusty rain coat! This is so important for the days when you think it might rain and you either don’t want to bring an umbrella or you wear it and it rains unexpectedly. It especially helps to find a rain coat with a hood! It is the perfect touch to protect your hair and helps you run through downpours quickly!

Last but not least, rain boots are so important to have in your repertoire during the fall! You have to have the perfect shoes to protect your feet when you are running through and jumping over puddles! I always prefer to find rain boots that are somewhere around ankle hight instead of covering the whole calf of my leg. For some reason having the whole calf covered always ends up making my legs itchy! Plus, the ankle rain boots help make petite girls like me look taller!

Well, those are a few of my fall must haves and essentials! I hope this little list helped in some way. These are also just a few of the products I wish I had known to have ready when I started college last year, but you live and you learn and here I am passing along that knowledge to you all!

Much Love,

Sarah
