• Tommy Hilfiger Striped Top

Similar to my look: Top        Pants      Shoes If this top is giving you nautical vibes, you are not alone. I pair it with white capris and basic white Sperry shoes. This whole outfit made me really want to go boating for the weekend! This top is from Tommy Hilfiger and is one of my new favorites! He designs clothes to flatter women in everyday. Tommy’s designs are consistently the perfect balance between classy and on trend! Like I said earlier, my mind immediately went to the white capris when deciding how to style this top. It just felt like the perfect way to complement the…

  • Generations of Bergmans

In a book about Grace Kelly that I once read years ago, it said she wrote in her high school yearbook that her favorite actress was Ingrid Bergman. If you really think about this though, it makes sense. Yes, Bergman was a popular actress during the very impressionable years of Grace Kelly’s life, but Kelly also had the natural beauty that Ingrid possessed. These photos are not mine. Similar face shapes, hairstyles, eyebrow shape, and smiles. Both of these women were stunning, but at the heart of this story many generations later women are still trying to capture the beauty of these women. Today, many women in Hollywood wear vintage…

  • ILYMIX Sunglasses

Something that may surprise you to learn about me (or maybe not) is that I am a little clumsy with my sunglasses. Naturally I a gravitate towards the cheapest pairs I can find because I know that I will either drop or scratch them. So when I opened my mailbox to see a box from the ILYMIX brand I could barely contain my excitement! The first think I noticed when I saw these sunglasses was how well made and sturdy they are! I felt like I could trust myself so much more wearing and using these sunglasses without breaking them. Besides all of that, the styles are so one trend…

  • Movie Monday: Rear Window (1954)

These photos are not mine. Possibly one of the most iconic Hitchcock films, Rear Window has a special place in cinema history. This was one of the first movies Hitchcock made in color. There are many fascinating aspects to this film, but one I found particularly interesting was in order to simulate daylight the set required numerous lights. With all of the necessary lamps on the set, at one point the heat they generated set off the sprinkler system! Rear Window was one of five Hitchcock films that was off limits for years because of  production rights. Alfred Hitchcock bought back the rights to these “Five Lost Hitchcocks” and left…

  • “Women” Old Navy T-Shirt

Similar to my look: T-shirt    Jacket   Sunglasses  Pants I am all about female empowerment!! That is why when I saw this tee at Old Navy, there was no doubt in my mind I was going to purchase it! The light shade of pink/purple perfectly contrasts the black jacket and pants I am wearing. This is a tee you could wearing easily when the weather transitions in to autumn. A pair of black skinny jeans and a cool biker jacket would be one way your could pair this top! Another way you could go would be with navy skinny jeans and a nice denim jacket! However you style it,…

  • JORD Watches

If you are searching for a place to find your perfect staple watch, look no further! JORD Watches sent me the Walnut & Vintage Rose of their Cassia Series, and I am in love! The craftsmanship of the beautiful wooden box that my JORD Watch arrived in made me swoon! I love the natural look and feel of this watch! The dark chocolate shade of brown that comes from the Walnut wood of this…

  • Movie Monday: Casablanca (1942)

These photos are not mine. Casablanca is arguably one of the most iconic and influential films to ever hit the silver screen! The music, the movie lines, the clothes, and the love story are all components that helped catapult this movie into instant success! At the time of Casablanca‘s release, the world was in complete turmoil. It was in the midst of World War II and many people went to the theatre to escape reality even if it was just for a little while. Rick and Ilsa’s love story endeared audiences all over the world, and impacted society in a way those who made the film would have never thought.…

  • The Summer Floral Trend

Photos taken by Darla Sigmon (@mcsig96 on Instagram) I have never been much of a print girl, but this summer it would seem I am wearing lot more of at least one print. Normally, I like a solid color top with some denim shorts or something else simple and classic, but the floral trend bug has bitten me. Florals are HUGE this summer! You really cannot go shopping without seeing at least one flower on some sort of piece of clothing! The floral trend is so different than most other prints. Every summer it seems like there is at least one kind of print that takes over, but with florals…

  • Floral Romper by Candie’s

Photos taken by Darla Sigmon (@mcsig96 on Instagram) Similar to my look: Romper      Necklace Kohl’s is hands down one of my favorite places to shop, and this romper is a great example as to why! When I saw this adorable black romper with light pink flowers, excitement shot right through me! The slight bell sleeves that go to my elbows, and the lightweight fabric are just two of the reasons this romper is a hidden gem. The Candie’s brand consistently creates pieces that are on trend, yet timeless! With this romper, it flatters the body in all of the right places without being too revealing. Because of the…

  • Fran Fine’s Fine Style

For more of Fran Fine’s fashion, follow @whatfranwore on Instagram! *These photos are not mine.* It’s time to reflect on one of my favorite funny ladies: Fran Fine of The Nanny! I know this isn’t a film, but I had to put it in the Classic Cinema section because to me this show is definitely a classic! Even though this show ran throughout the 90’s, Fran Drescher’s style is pretty contemporary. The crop tops, the geometric shapes, the mini skirts, and the many times she wore the complementary color of black. Fran was way ahead of her time in fashion! These photos are not mine. We have seen the fashion industry catchup…
