Halpern Spring 2020

Wow, wow, wow! This Halpern spring 2020 runway may be the best one I have seen so far! This doesn’t feel like any one seasonal collection, but it feels like a Met Gala red carpet all rolled up into a runway!

There is so much glamour that can be found in this Halpern collection which I love. This level of sophistication is not typical found within a spring collection that is for sure. When the average person thinks of spring they may think of bunnies, sunshine, and grass. In other words, pastels, muted colors, and anything matte.

Halpern took all of the expectations I had, threw them in the trash, and gave us all a glorious 1970s inspired Studio 54 vibe that we can wear. We saw a little touch of this glamour with the sequined pieces from the Marc Jacobs spring 2020 runway, but not to this extent.

However, I want to note that the fabrics used throughout all of these designs are consistent in the way they drape. There is a “liquid-like” quality to all of the looks that were featured on the Halpern runway. Just look at the absolutely stunning one shouldered evening gowns pictured above. Everything about that evening gown is effortless and chic. When I say that fashion can create a moment, it is the designs like what we saw on this runway that I imagine.
