The Faux Shearling Transitional Top
One of my favorite aspects of spring is not needing to wear a jacket or coat any longer. Living in the Midwest still presents the difficulty of cold mornings and warm afternoons. So, that is where the search for something that works for both weather types begins! With the passing of the legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel faces a whole new frontier. Lagerfeld gave us many designs to enjoy throughout his career, however, I can’t help but feel like this runway in particular will serve as a kind of endless winter inspiration for some time to come. The runway sets have always been spectacular, and Lagerfeld never disappointed those who were in attendance. But this runway perfectly sums up modern ski lodge attire. Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2019 Ready-to-Wear Collection
With over one hundred ensembles shown in this Dolce & Gabbana runway, this collection was both vast and, at times, a bit eccentric. There was no clear influence upon this collection, from what I can tell. The only significant thread connecting each of these pieces is a sense of showmanship. Volume, volume, and more volume is the take away from Dolce & Gabbana. Don’t be surprised if in fall 2019 red carpets are dominated by voluminous dress. I’m going to be honest, Victoria Beckham runways are not typically one that I look forward to. I find her designs to be somewhat boring and unoriginal. This collection didn’t blow my socks off by any means, but Victoria Beckham did pleasantly surprise me with these designs. One of the reasons I am usually no enthusiastic about Victoria Beckham runways is because I just know what her color pallet will be. Sequins, sequins, and more sequins! It seems that New Years Eve is always about who can wear the most glitter. Well, this year I have decided to take a little bit of a more subtle approach to New Years Eve fashion. I am focusing my whole outfit around this chic and fun tweed jacket!
