Ralph Lauren Spring/Summer 2019 for Women
The old soul in me simply loved the Ralph Lauren 5oth anniversary runway show this New York Fashion Week! There were so many different elements jam-packed into one show, yet his collection remained so cohesive! What was most prevalent trend you noticed in this show you ask? The accessories! Photos by Vogue We saw a touch of New York and a touch of London mixed into a super modern and super classic collection with men’s and women’s fashion for Ralph Lauren. The rustic and modern vibes ran through the structure of each piece and the overall color scheme. The muted browns, blacks, and burgundy are all colors you would normally…

Kate Spade Spring/Summer 2019
Despite all of the fun and fashion, New York Fashion Week was also a emotional milestone. This was the first fashion show after the loss of company founder Kate Spade. There were many impactful tributes dedicated to her, from the all pink runway to the programs with the iconic quote “She left a little sparkle wherever she went”. This collection will be a memorable one for the brand for many reasons, only one being how amazing all of these pieces are. Photos by Vogue This whole runway show seemed to be 60’s inspired and I loved every bit of it! From the fun prints to the all pink outfits, this…

A Classic Neutral Look
Now that Labor Day is officially over, what should we wear instead of white? I have the perfect alternative! Grey, camel, or black are all fantastic neutrals that can replace the white you may normally wear. One really easy and simple way to pull off a neutral look is to throw on a grey t-shirt, some shorts or jeans, and black shoes. Everything about this look is timeless, you will never regret wearing a basic! That is how easy it is to put together a classic neutral ensemble like this one! To create a neutral outfit for fall or winter, wear a camel sweater with black skinny jeans and some cute…

Neon for Fall 2018
Did someone say neon? The future of fashion is everything neon! We saw so much of this on the runways earlier this spring, but now it is taking over the fall’s trendiest pieces! There are many elements from the 80’s that are back in style, but they each one deserves its own article. Today I am discussing the way you can incorporate a touch of neon into your wardrobe! For the men, you can wear a cool, crisp tee that has neon lettering. Want to go all in on this trend? Wear a brightly color solid shirt! A basic, neon t-shirt will catch the eye and keep you in style…

Movie Monday: 12 Angry Men (1957)
It was my college Psychology 100 class of freshman year that prompted me to watch 12 Angry Men for the first time. We were learning about group think and (like any good student) I was watching YouTube videos about the subject. One of the videos I watched used 12 Angry Men as an example of group think, the video showed a clip of the film and I was hooked! I couldn’t wait to watch the full movie! The compelling story about the American judiciary system and how one man standing up for what he believes is right has gone down in history as one of the most notorious films of the…

The End of Summer
With the end of fair season comes the end of summer. We all knew this would happen sooner or later, the long days and warm nights were slowly slipping aways from us. The new semester is rapidly approaching now, and soon I will be back to cracking the books. Another fresh set of classes to figure out and conquer, but this school year will be different for me. I am looking forward to the first school year of having this blog to write! It has been such an amazing way for me to connect with others and a fantastic creative outlet! Nothing has allowed me to be this vulnerable yet…

The Knotted Romper
What better way to welcome the new month than with a cute romper? This is one of my favorite rompers in my closet! I bought it at the tail end of last summer, maybe that is why I am so fond of it for this time of year. The print vertical styled print is one of my favorite aspects of this romper, I’m also a sucker for anything with stripes! The sleeveless look keeps you cool in the heat while the print keeps the romper interesting. My favorite feature is hands down the knot in the front, though! Not many rompers have a knot to tie so this versatile feature…

Gingham Tank
Not to long ago, I wrote a blog post calling gingham one of the biggest prints of the summer. This prediction did not disappoint! I found this cute tank top at Target. The ruffle was one of my favorite features about this tank when I bought it. However, the first day I wore this top there was a bit of a breeze outside and I had that ruffle flying in my face. It provided for some pretty funny blooper photos though so I was fine with it. Sometimes the wind is our friend and sometimes it is not. Either way, this gingham look is classic and a total win whether…

Long Sleeve Crop Top Fall Comeback
This top above is one of the cutest, simple crop tops that would be perfect for fall! I found it online at So Aesthetic. I’m calling it now, the long sleeved crop top will be the must have for this fall! Although you would think of the crop top as strictly a summer trend, the long sleeved crop top easily slides right into the fall without any trouble. Crop tops have been back in style for a while now, but this summer there were many twists added to the simple design. We saw them become a little more uniquely trimmed with things like color blocking and embroidery. For colder days and even cooler looks,…

Movie Monday: The Philadelphia Story (1940)
Oh The Philadelphia Story! This was the movie that made me question who was the better Hepburn: Audrey or Katherine? Of course, Katherine Hepburn was labeled box office poison for many years until Phillip Barry wrote a screenplay specifically for Hepburn, that play is what became The Philadelphia Story. Katherine Hepburn was so taken with this play that she made the impassioned decision to forgo a salary and fund the whole stage production out of her personal funds. However, being the savvy business women that she was, Hepburn did receive a significant portion of the profits from the huge success that this play became. Katherine Hepburn soon realized the kind of…
