• What I’m Wearing for Easter 2019

Happy Easter, everyone! This was always one of my favorite holidays growing up and even today I still love the atmosphere and purpose of getting together to celebrate with family. Unfortunately for me, the Midwestern spring weather gives me a lot of wind! Hence the wearing pants and not a dress. There will be plenty of time for dresses this summer when things warm up and the wind slows down. This blue sweater came along just in time for the Easter holiday! I found it on sale at Old Navy and it was featured in my post about the neon trend. Of course, this blue isn’t necessarily neon, but I…

  • How to Wear the Neon Trend This Spring

Months and months ago I predicted that neon was slowly becoming one of the trendiest color schemes of fall 2018. At the time I didn’t know it, but I was also predicting one of the biggest trends of spring 2019, too! I know that pastel is typically the colors that come to mind when you think of spring fashion, but I am here to say that there is most certainly plenty of room in the colorful spring market for more bold shades. Today, I want to expand on that prediction by talking a little bit about how you can incorporate neon into your spring wardrobe. #1. Try a bright version…

  • The Arm Details in Sweaters Trend

There are so many reasons I love this sweater, but one of the biggest ones is that it fits in so perfectly with the trend I am seeing this fall/winter. So many shirts and sweaters this season have included a cute little detail along the sleeve! Whether it be lace, leather, or a simple little tie design like the one on my sweater, there are so many ways to add a little flair. I found this sweater at Kohl’s and fell in love with it immediately! It was such a good price, too! I believe I only paid maybe $10 for this sweater because it was on sale the day…

  • A Thanksgiving Travel Look

The holiday travel season is officially upon us! With Thanksgiving just right around the corner (that is if you live in the United States), it is time we start thinking about traveling and packing all of the fashionable essentials! What are my go-to travel looks? Well, in the fall and winter months I love to layer! A good vest or jacket can go a long way in my book! With this look above, I am wearing two of my favorite colors: blue and gold. Pairing these colors together add so much fun and spice to an otherwise earthy toned season. The contrast between the bright yellow and navy blue is…

  • The Best Basics for Men

Some days you just don’t have the time or energy to put together a complete outfit. Thinking of what is in style yet timeless can sometimes be hectic, but there is one thing will never fail us: basics. Throw on a cool basic tee with a little flare and that outfit you quickly put together will look effortlessly cool. Be it a white, black, maroon, blue, green, or whatever color you choose, a basic top with a classic pair of pants/jeans will always win out. Now that college is back in full swing and busier than ever, you can rely on the basics to deliver a outfit that is perfect…

  • Neon for Fall 2018

Did someone say neon? The future of fashion is everything neon! We saw so much of this on the runways earlier this spring, but now it is taking over the fall’s trendiest pieces! There are many elements from the 80’s that are back in style, but they each one deserves its own article. Today I am discussing the way you can incorporate a touch of neon into your wardrobe! For the men, you can wear a cool, crisp tee that has neon lettering. Want to go all in on this trend? Wear a brightly color solid shirt! A basic, neon t-shirt will catch the eye and keep you in style…

  • Color Blocking for Men

It looks like color blocking is going to be a pretty big fall/winter trend for 2018. There is no reason that you can’t get ahead of this trend and lead the way! The aztec print t-shirt my brother Jacob is modeling is a great example of how you can us color blocking to your advantage early. The colorful print really stands apart from the solid colored pocket on the front of the tee. That one simple element is the perfect way to grow into even more color blocking as the season goes on. If you want to keep it simple and only dip a toe in the pool of color…

  • 40’s Inspired Top

If there is anything I love as much as watching a classic film, it’s wearing clothes inspired by the silver screen era! I found this chic floral top in the clearance section at Kohl’s for only $9! Just seeing the fluttering cap sleeves and feeling the lightweight material gave me vintage vibes. When I tried this top on, I was immediately taken back to a different time! My favorite touch in this top is the delicate, feminine sleeves. For a while now I have felt the pulse of an older yet somehow modernized style trying to surge back into fashion. Maybe we will have a little taste of The Great…

  • Neon Stripes

If I had to pick a top five or ten favorite colors, neon green would be somewhere in that group! Unlike its neighboring colors, like construction worker yellow, neon green as a color steers clear of tacky and navigates more towards fun. The navy blue stripe really balance out the bright green in this top. In addition, the three little blue buttons you may notice on my shoulder are such a fun little detail to mark this as a classic addition to the wardrobe! I decided a matching pair of navy shorts from Old Navy with this ensemble. One more thing I love about this top is the quarter length…

  • Topman Baby Blue

There is nothing like finding a classic, soft tee! When my brother Jacob found this top from Topman, it was love at first touch! It is t-shirts like these that stay in the closet for years and are an absolute essential. The ability to mix and match the a pretty blue tee like this one is endless. Everyone should own one top that is soft and comfortable, those never go out of style! Topman hit the nail on the head with this material. My brother, Jacob, told me it breathed so easily and kept him cool on the hot day he wore it on. The fit is fitted enough to complement…
