• Versace Spring 2020

If there is one takeaway from this entire Fashion Month, it is that retro is going to be the flavor of spring 2020! In last week’s Look Book post “80s Inspiration & Structured Sleeves“, I keyed in on this fashion concept. Although a lot of these looks will be a hot and heavy trend for spring 2020, I have seen hints of it even now in the fall. The most important fashion trend for spring 2020 will be structured shoulders. This is influenced by a mixture of time eras like the Victorian era, the 40s, and the 80s. Of course, we all remember that shoulder pads were an fashion item…

  • Carolina Herrera Spring 2020

It is officially Fashion Month! Which means there will be plenty of brand new and exciting Runway Reviews coming your way! Today I want to review one of the first collections to really catch my eye, and one that I do not believe has received the kind of attention it deserves. The Carolina Herrera collection for spring 2020 plays on all of the right notes of spring, but without all of the clichĂ©s. If you notice, the designs featured on this particular runway contain all of the elements of any good springtime look that you would expect like pastels and florals. However, thanks to the bold silhouettes and structures in…

  • Designers That Changed Fashion: Hubert de Givenchy

Continuing the series of “Designers That Changed Fashion”, I am highlighting a famous designer who is loved by many. Hubert de Givenchy created some of the most timeless designs that we all still love and appreciate even to this day. However, I have a few thoughts as to how Givenchy differentiated himself from everyone else. Some of the most iconic looks of any film or character have been designer by Hubert de Givenchy. Remember Breakfast at Tiffanies? Of course, it helped that he had a fabulous model in Audrey Hepburn to help him get his name into the films and to slowly become the face of his brand. However, in…

  • Designers That Changed Fashion: Edith Head

Today I am starting an exciting new series that I am calling “Designers That Changed Fashion”! This new series will featured and is dedicated too designers that I feel have fundamentally changed the fashion industry forever. Today I wanted to start off with a designer that seems to be forgotten all too often. Edith Head was a fashion forward, sophisticated designer whose vision for the looks she was trying to create has gone down in history. Best known for her Old Hollywood costumes, Edith Head was always able to create a feeling and atmosphere that surrounded each character she dressed. Something I have picked up on after watching several films…

  • Sketches of Princess Diana’s Iconic Dresses

Today, as promised, I will be sharing the numerous sketches that were at the Princess Diana dress exhibit at Kensington Palace! This was particularly fun for me to see in person because the detailing on the sketches were incredible! Some of the Princess of Wales’ most iconic ensemble were shown in sketch form at this exhibit along with bits of the fabric from the looks. Below are all of the sketches at the exhibit, hope you enjoy them! Those are all of the photos I have of the sketches shown at the Princess Diana dress exhibit. Although this post was short in comparison to the much longer one I published…
