Similar to my look: Top Shorts This year has absolutely flown by! I can’t believe it was the fourth of July! It was one jam-packed fourth of July for my family and I this year! This was the third year in a row that I have walked in the fourth of July parade in Oakwood, Illinois. This year was extra special because it was the first time my Mom and I have had the opportunity to walk alongside our fellow Governor Bradford NSDAR members! Some of the Governor Bradford Chapter NSDAR members getting ready for the parade! We handed out little United States flags to the kids along the parade route. Movie Monday: The Women (1939)

Although The Women fails the “Bechdel Test” because all of the women in this film pretty much always end up talking about the allusive “Steve” who never appears on screen, this is still a triumphant film for women!
